The /555 Benchmark Campaign

The /555 Benchmark Campaign

Info

2 days for development of a strategic marketing campaign to position Sysdig as a leader in cloud security.

With just two days to develop a strategic marketing campaign, our lean team of two set out to position Sysdig as a leader in cloud security. Centered around the tagline “Secure Every Second,” the campaign addressed the urgency and complexity of modern cloud-based attacks by introducing Sysdig’s unique benchmark: 555. This benchmark—featured prominently in both the campaign messaging and creative (including the expressive /555 art treatment and utility-based copy)—became the foundation for differentiating Sysdig in a crowded market. I refined the messaging to be sharp, direct, and fact-first, delivering value without fluff and ensuring our audience got the answers they needed quickly. Visually, I expanded the brand system by introducing expressive new elements—photography, illustrations, and dynamic graphics—that stayed true to the brand while pushing it forward.

The campaign extended across multiple high-impact channels including social media, digital display, and takeovers on platforms like The Register and Dark Reading. We developed the “Think Fast” extension to spotlight the speed and sophistication of today’s cloud threats, contrasting Sysdig’s real-time, runtime approach with slower, traditional solutions like EDR. I helped shape full-funnel strategies that included top-of-funnel engagement, interactive event experiences (like at Black Hat), and educational content from Sysdig’s Threat Research Team. Deliverables ranged from webinars and demos to targeted event collateral—all designed to engage, educate, and convert. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the marketing org and directly with the Marketing VP, our small team successfully built and launched a campaign that blended creative storytelling with technical credibility to elevate Sysdig’s position in the market.
